Testimonies of Healing
It is with reverence and great gratitude that I wish to testify to the many blessings which I have received during the time I have known Christian Science. As a member of an orthodox church, I was reluctant to leave my old church and follow Christian Science.
" O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people" ( Ps. 105:1 ).
Christian Science came into my experience when I was attending a university, hungering for Truth, but not finding it there. Today this Science is the way of Life for me.
OF the many blessings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, I count the privilege of class instruction as the most precious. For the renewed inspiration that comes with each year's association meeting, I am deeply grateful.
For the peace and harmony which have come into my experience through the study and application of Christian Science, I offer this testimony in the hope that it will help someone in need. Christian Science solves every problem confronting mankind, whether physical, mental, moral, or financial, and I never cease to be grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her unselfed love in giving her revelation to the world.
The greatest day of my life was the one when I was invited to a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and heard testimonies of the practical nature of Christian Science. In the seven years since then my cup has overflowed with joy and happiness greater than I had ever known before.
On a summer morning in 1929 while taking a strenuous ride on horseback, I became very tired. As there was nothing in sight on the road, I loosened the reins and relaxed in the saddle.
My heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science can no longer remain unexpressed. When I was a girl in my early teens, my mother sent me to the Christian Science Sunday School.
" With God all things are possible," the Bible tells us ( Matt. 19:26 ).
I wish to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to God for the many blessings I have received since becoming a student of Christian Science. To Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, to Mary Baker Eddy, our revered Leader, and to the early students who in their faithfulness helped to establish this Science of Christianity, I owe my enduring thanks.
