Testimonies of Healing

I have had many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. The guidance and protection that the study of this Science has given me over the years are invaluable.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, the religion which becomes the basis of one's every thought and act. Class instruction has especially aided me.

My parents and maternal grandparents were members of The Mother Church and of branch churches. As a child I attended the Christian Science Sunday School.

Jesus said ( Matt. 10:8 ), "Freely ye have received, freely give.

Although I have given many testimonies in Churches of Christ, Scientist, through the years that I have been a student of Christian Science, I have not previously glorified God in a written testimony. The desire to do so now prompts me to tell of just a few of my experiences, hoping they will help someone who is discouraged, as reading the testimonies has helped me in times of discouragement and given me renewed hope.

As one who has benefited immeasurably from the healing efficacy of Christian Science, I wish to offer my testimony in humble gratitude for this precious teaching which our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has given us so freely.

I wish to tell of an experience I had on shipboard while returning from a tour of Europe. About ten days before this time I had been attacked by a severe cold, which settled in my throat and ears.

When a girl I began studying Christian Science literature. The beauty of the truth shone forth as a light, and I began to understand that man, made in God's image, expresses Him in spiritual qualities such as love, fearlessness, and so on.

A testimony of mine appeared in the June, 1935, Journal. Today I am more convinced than ever that Christian Science is indeed the pearl of great price.

The teachings of Christian Science have met my every need for some years now. It would be impossible for me to be too grateful for them.
