Testimonies of Healing

My coming into Christian Science was like stepping from a dark and gloomy room into a sunlit garden. Although living in a strange country more than three thousand miles from my childhood home and family, I have never known homesickness or been without loving friends who have made me feel I belong to a large and wonderful family, the family of God's ideas.

It is indeed with deep and sincere gratitude for the great blessing that Christian Science has been to me over the past thirty years that I give this testimony. The religion in which I had been carefully brought up as a child failed to answer my questions about life, and I came to the conclusion that I did not need God and would make my family, my home, and my material pleasures suffice.

A most beautiful and lasting healing came to me a number of years ago. I credit the healing to consecrated work on the practitioner's part, an honest desire on my part to stop sinful practices, and a willingness to express gratitude even before the physical healing was manifest.

My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded for revealing God as my Father and my Mother, as well as my provider. My parents passed on when I was at a very early age.

Six years ago Christian Science found me brokenhearted. After the passing of a beloved parent, I experienced a sense of grief that grew continually worse.

For a long time I have been wanting to express my gratitude for all the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, gratitude for the peace, happiness, and health experienced during many years. I hope that this testimony will give to God the glory due His holy name and that it will bring a message of love, confidence, and courage to those who are on the pathway from sense to Soul.

Christian Science has been the only physician in our household for many years. There have been numerous healing experienced by members of the family, and gratitude has been expressed for the good that has come to us through the study and application of the truth as given us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

For many years the daily study and application of the Lesson Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly have kept me well and strong. I began the study of Science twenty four years ago, when medical doctors said I had but a few months to live because of a lung hemorrhage, which they could not stop.

When I went into business for myself in my early twenties, I was in poor health. Contact with coal dust caused fear that tuberculosis would develop because of my weakened condition.

I have been an earnest student of Christian Science for many years and have experienced numerous healings through its application. This Science has been my only method of healing since I began its study.
