Testimonies of Healing

In July, 1925, I found Christian Science, and what a glorious day that was for me! I had been a sufferer from childhood; and when I reached maturity my difficulties multiplied until it seemed there was not a healthy organ or function in my body. I was a semi-invalid, spending a good part of the time in bed, and never knew a well day.

When I was on a short visit to the United States of America in 1938, a reluctant visit was made to Mrs. Eddy's home.

For the privilege of many years' instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School I am deeply grateful. There I learned to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly daily and to turn to the Bible and to the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

" Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" ( Matt. 12:34 ).

For over four years I have been studying Christian Science, the promised Comforter. I wish to express gratitude for the good it has brought into my experience.

For many years I have desired to express in writing my deep gratitude for some of the many benefits and blessings which I have experienced through the study of Christian Science. When I read an article in The Christian Science Monitor entitled "Prompt Payment," it made me realize how wrong I had been to withhold the expression of my gratitude in writing.

Christ Jesus has promised ( Matt. 11: 28-30 ): "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

My heart overflows with gratitude to God for blessing us with this Christ-way of living which we find revealed in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. Through the study and application of Christian Science I have found more abundant health and the supply and happiness that accompany a grander and more loving sense of life.

" Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits" ( Ps. 103:2 ).

The many blessings which my family and I have received through the study of Christian Science prompt me to submit this testimony. I am grateful that in this study I have found the comforting promise of the Master, Christ Jesus, to be true ( John 8: 32 ): "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
