Testimonies of Healing

So often comfort and courage to go forward have come to me through reading the testimonies in our periodicals that I think it is time I told of a few of the countless blessings which have come to us because of Christian Science. My husband and I and two growing boys have never failed to receive help and healing whenever we have turned unreservedly to Christian Science for help.

With the full realization of the many benefits experienced through the study and application of Christian Science, I had a great desire to help in the movement. I therefore sought membership in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.

Christian Science never leaves you where it finds you. When Science found me I was suffering from blood poisoning in my arm.

One of my first healings in Christian Science was brought about through my reading of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

After many years of countless blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science, I suddenly realized that while I had often verbally expressed my gratitude, I had as yet to write it, and I knew it was time that I should. My first healing came over eighteen years ago through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

Recently, when reading the chapter entitled "Fruitage" in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was much impressed by the variety of troubles which are there shown to have been overcome simply by the reading of the textbook. More than twenty years ago, when I was discussing some religious questions with a friend, Christian Science was referred to and I had to admit that I knew nothing of it although holding a university degree in theology.

I am very grateful for the peace and harmony that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. Many years ago, when a beloved sister passed on, I was healed quickly of the sense of loss and grief.

With gratitude and in the hope that it will prove of benefit to some sincere seeker for Truth, I submit this testimony of healing. Eleven years ago, confronted with a problem of lack and unemployment, I turned to Christian Science.

" Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love. " So Mary Baker Eddy states on page 45 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
