Testimonies of Healing

After many years of countless blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science, I suddenly realized that while I had often verbally expressed my gratitude, I had as yet to write it, and I knew it was time that I should. My first healing came over eighteen years ago through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

Recently, when reading the chapter entitled "Fruitage" in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was much impressed by the variety of troubles which are there shown to have been overcome simply by the reading of the textbook. More than twenty years ago, when I was discussing some religious questions with a friend, Christian Science was referred to and I had to admit that I knew nothing of it although holding a university degree in theology.

I am very grateful for the peace and harmony that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. Many years ago, when a beloved sister passed on, I was healed quickly of the sense of loss and grief.

With gratitude and in the hope that it will prove of benefit to some sincere seeker for Truth, I submit this testimony of healing. Eleven years ago, confronted with a problem of lack and unemployment, I turned to Christian Science.

" Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love. " So Mary Baker Eddy states on page 45 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

It is always a joy to express gratitude for the blessings received during the more than thirty years that I have been interested in Christian Science. I have experienced many healings, but I wish to tell now of the loving care and protection my son received during the years he served in the armed forces.

With a grateful heart I should like to testify to some of the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. My first healing was of an insect bite on my lip, received while on a fishing trip.

Christian Science has given me a concept of God that means something to me every day and under all circumstances, and this I count to be the greatest blessing I have received since taking up the study of this Science. Our family has been blessed with many physical healings, each one a proof that God's spiritual law is ever present and ever available to man.

I wish to express my gratitude for many healings I have received through Christian Science, which has been my only physician for more than twenty years. A healing of bronchial pneumonia was so outstanding to me that I should like to tell of it here.

About thirty years ago I was sent to hospital as an emergency case, and an operation was performed by an eminent specialist. After two months of intense pain and weakness I was sent to the men dip Hills to recuperate.
