Testimonies of Healing

My desire to study Christian Science came after I had left home and friends and had gone to live in a small new town in the reclaimed desert of the Northwest. My reaching out for something to save me from the pettiness and gossip of a small community resulted in my taking up the study of the Bible, and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

It is with a deep sense of love and gratitude to God for His goodness that I submit this testimony. I have been a student of Christian Science for twelve years, and the blessings I have received have been manifold.

Gratitude for the encouragement and inspiration which I have received from the testimonies contained in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel has awakened in me a desire to share with others some of the blessings which have come to me during the years that I have been a student of Christian Science. My husband and I began the serious study of this Science when our older son, now grown to manhood, was quite a small boy.

I Should like to tell of two experiences in which heartfelt, spontaneous gratitude resulted in healing. Soon after reaching young manhood I started a business.

Feeling so grateful for all the love and help given me since I was introduced to Christian Science about two years ago, I should like others to know how much it has helped me. At that time I was sick mentally and physically, and had been under a doctor's care for nearly three years without any good results.

Christian Science has healed me of sickness and released me from fear, and in grateful acknowledgment I offer this testimony in the hope that it will help someone in need. My introduction to this Science was through a Sentinel I took from a free literature box in a railroad station.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and for the many proofs which I have had of its healing power through prayer. Some of the healings were quick, others were slow, but through them all I learned much of the oneness of God and man.

The desire to express gratitude for Christian Science has been in my thought for some time. We have had so many healings, physical, mental, and financial, that my gratitude knows no bounds.

For the peace and harmony which have come into my life through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science, I should like to express my gratitude to God through the periodicals. My first experience with Christian Science was about thirty-eight years ago.

I am a Christian Scientist because I have proved for myself, beyond any shadow of doubt, that this Science solves every problem confronting mankind, be its nature physical, financial, moral, or mental. In the very earliest days of my study of this Science I was healed instantaneously of fallen arches.
