I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. My first healing was of a misconception of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.
The understanding that man lives in Mind and the application of this truth as taught in Christian Science were an unfailing source of inspiration and protection to me while flying in combat with the Army Air Forces in Europe in 1942, and I wish to express my profound gratitude. I read the Lesson-Sermon daily, and before each take-off realized that there is no conflict or warfare in the spiritual universe, where man perpetually dwells as the image and likeness of God.
My chief desire in writing this testimony is to help others. I should like to relate a healing that I had ten years ago through the help of practitioners.
In my early childhood Christian Science instantaneously healed my mother of a spinal difficulty with which she had been born. Various physicians throughout the country, including her half brother, had said she could never be well, predicting blindness within six months if she lived.
The blessings that have come to me through the application of Christian Science are indeed numerous. Three years ago I had some sort of difficulty with my legs, which persisted for three months and made walking painful, for it was almost impossible to bend my legs.

About twelve years ago, when I was very near death, a friend asked my husband to try Christian Science treatment for me. The trouble had been pronounced rheumatism of the heart, and anemia.
In a spirit of humble gratitude this testimony of God's protection and love is submitted. While I was in combat on a Pacific island, I saw several incidents which convinced me that God, divine Love, does indeed fully protect and preserve His children.
