Testimonies of Healing
The following testimony is given in gratitude to God for His loving protection and guidance. After holding a position for a number of years, I suddenly found myself confronted with the necessity of having to look for a new one, because the company with which I was employed had failed.

The years which have elapsed since I first became a student of Christian Science have been a record of most joyous spiritual unfoldment. During this time I have had many proofs of the healing power and regenerative influence of divine Love.
For a long time it has been my sincere desire to submit a testimony expressing gratitude for Christian Science. First, I am profoundly grateful for having had Christian Science all my life.
In the fall of 1888 my mother began having Christian Science treatment from one of Mrs. Eddy's early students.
What blessings and inspiration await all who avail themselves of the teachings of Christian Science! I never cease to marvel that one woman could bring so much good to so many men in many different parts of the world. Whenever I become overpowered by discouragement or so troubled that I do not know where to turn, I have learned to turn to the "Testimonies of Healing" published in the Journal and Sentinel.
I wish to express my gratitude for the healing of an inflamed skin condition which appeared on my hands. During this experience I was unable to put my hands in water or do any of the many household tasks to which I had been accustomed.
In my early years I greatly longed to know God; and I searched and prayed much to glimpse and understand the power and presence of God which Jesus demonstrated. For the apostle said of all mankind "that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us" ( Acts 17:27 ).
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give this testimony. Christian Science has been my only physician for more than thirty years.
For over twenty years, I have looked to Christian Science for healing or help for any disturbance, physical, mental, or moral, and have been healed and blessed and given the understanding to go on working out my problems. During my first weeks of study I was healed, just by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, of an ulcerated tooth, and, with practitioner's help, of mumps in three days.
