Testimonies of Healing
I am grateful to God for the good that has come into my experience through the study of Christian Science. I realize that it has given me years of active, joyous living which would otherwise have been impossible.
That Christian Science heals instantaneously, completely, and permanently I am grateful to bear testimony. Thirteen years ago I experienced a great deal of suffering with my eyes, resulting from nervous exhaustion.
With deep thankfulness to God I submit this testimony in the hope that it will bring help and comfort to others. I am very grateful for what Christian Science has meant and is meaning to me.
It was through the healing of a sister that I became interested in Christian Science. She had not been well for years, and physicians had told her that after a needed operation was performed she must spend her days as an invalid.
My husband brought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, to our home about fifteen years ago, after he had heard that Christian Science heals. I read it casually from time to time, but never very seriously.
For the many blessings which I have experienced since beginning the study of Christian Science I am deeply grateful. When seemingly insurmountable difficulties have arisen, steadfast knowing of the truth has been required to see in them opportunities to prove what I know of the healing and protecting power of divine Love.
It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. I became interested in this Science for the express purpose of being healed physically.
My experience in Christian Science extends over a period of thirty-five years. I began the study of this Science when my whole life seemed about to be blacked out by human suffering.
Christian Science first came to our attention when I was a young girl, and my mother and I took up its study. The first physical healing my mother received was of asthma, from which she had suffered for many years and from which the physicians had given her only temporary relief.
I should like to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, for the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatoriums at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and in San Francisco, California, and for the wonderful healings that are taking place at these institutions. While visiting New York City in 1928 I became very ill and quite helpless from an attack of sciatica.
