Testimonies of Healing

It is with sincere gratitude to God for the many blessings Christian Science has brought me that I give this testimony, knowing that in these times of global turmoil many are seeking relief from the belief of separation and grief. When an only son twelve years of age passed on, I was as one "having no hope, and without God in the world.

" Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. " Some five or six years ago I was forced by circumstances to obey this command and found that the added promise was surely fulfilled.

I have received so many benefits from my study of Christian Science that I feel my testimony of gratitude to God is long overdue. I first turned to the Christ, Truth, about sixteen years ago when I started to earn my own living.

Christian Science has brought so much peace and joy into my life that I hardly know how to express my gratitude to God. I had heard a great deal about Christian Science, but gave it no serious thought until I was told by a physician that since he could do no more for me he recommended Christian Science treatment.

It has been several years since I have given a testimony, and because I derive so much good from reading the testimonies of others, I feel that perhaps someone might enjoy reading mine. My heart overflows with gratitude and praise to God and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science and for the numerous blessings that have been mine since taking up its study.

I have had many proofs of God's loving care as evidenced in the healing power of Christian Science. The experience I wish to tell of in this testimony was the complete healing of our son, when a baby, of acute infantile paralysis.

I am grateful for the privilege of sending in my testimony to one of the periodicals. I heard of Christian Science for the first time about fifteen years ago, after having two major and several minor operations, which left me too ill to do my housework or see my friends.

It has been my inestimable privilege to have had Christian Science in my home all my life. Though I have encountered storms, the "still small voice" has encouraged me and led me to strive earnestly for "the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Many years ago, when I was burdened with a false sense of anxiety and responsibility, Christian Science was brought to my attention by a friend. When it was explained to me it seemed almost too good to be true, but in the many years since then I have had positive proof of what Christian Science accomplishes.

Christian Science was presented to me by a friend at a time when life seemed very dark and the prospects for the future hardly worth while. This friend told me that right thinking would solve my problems, and that Christian Science would teach me how to think rightly.
