Testimonies of Healing

I have had many proofs of God's loving care as evidenced in the healing power of Christian Science. The experience I wish to tell of in this testimony was the complete healing of our son, when a baby, of acute infantile paralysis.

I am grateful for the privilege of sending in my testimony to one of the periodicals. I heard of Christian Science for the first time about fifteen years ago, after having two major and several minor operations, which left me too ill to do my housework or see my friends.

It has been my inestimable privilege to have had Christian Science in my home all my life. Though I have encountered storms, the "still small voice" has encouraged me and led me to strive earnestly for "the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Many years ago, when I was burdened with a false sense of anxiety and responsibility, Christian Science was brought to my attention by a friend. When it was explained to me it seemed almost too good to be true, but in the many years since then I have had positive proof of what Christian Science accomplishes.

Christian Science was presented to me by a friend at a time when life seemed very dark and the prospects for the future hardly worth while. This friend told me that right thinking would solve my problems, and that Christian Science would teach me how to think rightly.

" He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. " This brief passage from the fortieth Psalm epitomizes in its simplicity my own experience.

Although I had been a member of an orthodox church from girlhood, it did not meet my need. When Christian Science was first presented to me my response to God's voice was not immediate.

For several years I have wanted to send in a testimony to tell of some of the wonderful healings I have had in the last twenty-four years, including those of ptomaine poisoning in its worst form, bronchitis, pneumonia, burns, cuts, and tonsillitis. An outstanding healing was that of a badly fractured leg, which was healed with no other help than Christian Science.

During high school I enrolled in the college preparatory course and in other ways got ready for college. Graduation was near and my trunk partly packed when my parents told me that because of the illness of one of them college would be impossible.

When Christian Science was first presented to me I was very unhappy and in such bad health that I was taking medicine every two hours to relieve pain caused by stomach and bowel trouble. At that time my husband and I were living apart.
