Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science is indeed a light shining in darkness. Several years ago I was thrown while riding horseback, and my world had grown very dark.

My introduction to Christian Science came when as a child I was placed in the Christian Science Sunday School. In my early teens, however, I drifted away from it.

Having enjoyed the benefits of Christian Science for more than thirty years, I wish to express my gratitude to God for the health, guidance, supply, and protection it has given me since childhood. Because Christian Science has met my every need whenever properly applied, I have gained courage and confidence in facing daily problems.

With deep gratitude, I wish to tell of a healing that I experienced over three years ago. Although I have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science, I single this particular one out, for with it such an assurance of the ever-presence of the Christ, Truth, was instilled in my consciousness that no matter what the joys or the problems of the moment may be, this assurance has never left me.

I am very grateful for the opportunity of sharing the good I have received from Christian Science with others who may be in need of encouragement and help. It was my privilege to attend the Christian Science Sunday School from the time I was a small child until I was twenty.

The wealth of authenticated testimonies of healing published in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel , as well as those being given every Wednesday evening in thousands of Christian Science churches, proclaim the Scriptural prediction ( Isa. 11:9 ), "The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

It is with much joy and gratitude that I give this testimony. My hope is that it may help someone else as I have been helped by testimonies which have appeared in the periodicals.

Christian Science was presented to me some years ago, but at that time I was not ready to accept it. About six years ago I found myself facing the possibility of an operation for goiter, and I was mentally and physically desperate.

The benefits resulting from putting into practice the teachings of Christian Science have been proved to me many times, financially, morally, and physically, and it is with deep gratitude for the church, the Sunday school, the periodicals, and all the activities of the Christian Science movement that I write this testimony. My appreciation and love for Mary Baker Eddy and her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," grow yearly as the Bible and the life and works of Christ Jesus become more meaningful and practical.
