Testimonies of Healing

I can no longer delay to express publicly my deep appreciation of and gratitude for Christian Science. It has healed me of many things, among them grief over my mother's passing on, financial difficulties, and the fear of lack.

I am grateful for this privilege of sharing with others some of the many blessings I have received through the healing power of Christian Science. Prior to taking up this study I had never read the Bible, but now I find it to be a constant inspiration and guide when read in connection with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy.

Before I became a student of Christian Science I suffered from intense shyness. I very much disliked meeting people, and avoided social engagements whenever possible.

Since I became a student of Christian Science, twenty odd years ago, it has been my only help through the many trials which have confronted me. Through the truth contained in the statement in Science and Health by Mrs.

In gratitude to our loving Father-Mother God for His manifold blessings, I submit this testimony. The first healing of which I am aware came to me when I was a small child, shortly after my family had become acquainted with Christian Science.

The opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for thirteen years has been my blessed privilege; and the spiritual understanding which has unfolded to me as a result of this attendance has afforded me great protection in countless ways throughout the years. By making my own a few of the simple statements of Truth taught in Sunday school, I received two wonderful proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science which stand out in my thought like beacon lights.

I am one of the multitude of individuals who have had the privilege of knowing of Christian Science since early childhood. This blessing is unspeakable, for I early learned to rely on God, who is ever-present Love, and gradually I gained an understanding of the relationship of God and man which has enabled me to use Christian Science effectively in every detail of my daily experience.

About twelve years ago the daily papers in our city published an article each day warning people of a certain malignant disease. I thought it was my duty to read these articles, although my husband tried to persuade me not to do so.

Before I became acquainted with Christian Science, my daughter and her husband had received healings and had been benefited in many ways through Science. They lovingly assured me that I, too, could be freed from sickness and unhappiness.
