Testimonies of Healing
My wife and I, although only young students of Christian Science, have had some wonderful demonstrations of its healing power, for which we are humbly grateful. I should like to express my thanks and gratitude for my first healing in Christian Science, which took place almost four years ago.
I became interested in Christian Science about twenty years ago, and am grateful for the many blessings that have come to me during these years through its study and application. One of my first healings was that of chronic headaches.
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. " I should like to express my gratitude for some of the benefits we have received during the six years of our study of Christian Science.
In 1904 Christian Science healed me of anemia, nervous prostration, indigestion and all the attendant suffering. I had been a semi-invalid for twenty-one years.
I am giving this testimony in gratitude for the many loving testimonies that have come to me through the Christian Science periodicals, and because of the good I have received from Christian Science, which came into my life fifteen years ago. At that time I was greatly in need of spiritual light.
For twenty-five years Christian Science has met both the spiritual and the human needs of our family. It has been the only physician for my children and myself, and has taught us to know that God sustains and governs man at all times and in all ways.
I wish to join with my mother in expressing gratitude for her healing. It is another beautiful proof that all things are possible with God.
It is with gratitude and inspiration for the awakening that came into my life with the realization of real or spiritual sight that I wish to give this testimony. I was healed in Christian Science of blindness in the right eye three months before I was to become totally blind, according to the opinion of noted physicians.
With much love and gratitude, I give this testimony of what Christian Science has brought to me. Fifteen years ago I was suffering from a serious kidney trouble, for which I had had medical treatment for more than a year.
A number of years ago there appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel an account of my healing of the drink habit. I was at that time in bondage to the cigarette habit.
