Testimonies of Healing

"Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's," is the Scriptural passage our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has utilized in the Manual of The Mother Church ( Art. VIII, Sect.

In a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal are these lines: Thou leadest me by unsought ways, Thou turn'st my mourning into praise. In the year 1915 I had a very grave illness, with serious complications.

I feel that it is time for me to express my gratitude for the blessings which have come to me since I began the study of Christian Science. At that time I could see nothing but deepest sorrow and trouble, but I soon found that I had much for which to be thankful.

I am very grateful for Christian Science, and for being able to prove that there is a way out of every human difficulty through the application of the rules given us by Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved and inspired Leader. I have experienced what, to human sense, would be called miracles in the solving of financial problems, instantaneous healings of colds, healings of an irritation of the skin, indigestion, rheumatic pains, very painful stoppage of the natural functioning of the kidneys and intestines, and the overcoming of a condition of the ears and the eyes which had frightened me.

Many are the blessings that have come to my family and to me through the earnest study of Christian Science, and its application to the problems of daily life. Troubled waters have many times been encountered, and only by steadfast determination to look to God have we been kept from being washed upon the rocks of despair and discouragement.

One of my earliest recollections is that of seeing a woman seated by my mother's bed, urging her to repeat the Lord's Prayer aloud. My mother repeated the prayer, although her lips could scarcely form the words.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It teaches us to know God as He is, how to approach Him through right prayer, and how to avail ourselves of His love.

My deep gratitude for blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science during the last twenty-two years cannot be measured. Every overcoming of error has left me with more confidence in God's power, proving Mrs.

Fifteen years ago I began the study of Christian Science, after spending the greater part of two years in bed under the care of several different physicians, among whom were specialists. None was able to diagnose the physical ailment, which took the form of a rheumatic disease and produced intense pain at times.

My three sons, who have had no other teaching than Christian Science, have proved on many occasions the allness of God and the nothingness of error. After a few weeks' study, we had an outstanding experience in our home.
