Testimonies of Healing

I can never cease to be grateful for Christian Science, because, through its teachings, we are enabled to overcome our problems and be healed of sin and sickness. Three years ago my life was despaired of by two doctors, who agreed that an operation was absolutely necessary to save my life, as I was suffering from gastric trouble and an ulcerated bowel, a condition which the doctors considered was very serious and might prove fatal.

All that I am and have I owe to the understanding of God and His image and likeness, man, as revealed to us through the study of christian Science. Though the progress our family has made during a period of over eight years has been seemingly slow at times, the help of a practitioner has made it possible for us to meet every discord with very little outside help for two years.

It is a joy and a sacred privilege to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. About eleven years ago I was encouraged to try Christian Science for the healing of a complete mental and physical breakdown.

We read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 342 ) that Christian Science "raises from the couch of pain the helpless invalid.

I first heard of Christian Science about fourteen years ago. I had been given up by seven doctors, all of whom told my husband that there was nothing more to do for me.

I am truly grateful for the many blessings and healings my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. Our children have been healed of many so-called children's diseases, such as scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, colds, burns, gum boils, and mumps.

Because I have received good so freely from the study and application of Christian Science I desire to give encouragement to my fellow men by witnessing that the truth has power to heal whether one understands it or not. This was proved in my experience.

For the life and work of our revered Leader I am humbly grateful. Science and Health is indeed the "key" that unlocks the sacred truths of the Bible to all who diligently seek for them.

Christian Science revealed to me that God is. And with the acknowledgment of that truth on my part, the orderly unfoldment of demonstrating the power of good over evil was started.

Some friends urged us to try Christian Science for a physical and nervous condition which doctors had not been able to cure. I was skeptical, but finally decided that it could not hurt me.
