Testimonies of Healing

I should like to take this means of expressing my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. Several years ago I suffered from rheumatism, which was extremely painful and necessitated my being absent from my work.

" My heart is singing: I have found the way. " These words in one of the hymns from our beautiful revised Hymnal, express my thought, for I have indeed found the way of true happiness and peace.

From time to time I have asked myself, What have I demonstrated in Christian Science? I feel the time has now come to enumerate some of the many benefits that have come to me and mine through the study and application of this Science, and to express in some slight measure my ever increasing gratitude. When Christian Science first found me I was in a hospital, being prepared by the nurses for a major operation.

With deepest gratitude for all the blessings received through the daily study and application of Christian Science, I am prompted to offer my testimony in the hope that it will help lift my fellow men out of deep waters. Christian Science is teaching humanity how to work out its salvation from material bondage to all ills of the flesh, into glorious liberty as children of God.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, in which I first became interested in 1911. I was living near a man and his wife who were Christian Scientists.

I wish to give my testimony in gratitude to Christian Science and to our beloved Leader for making plain the teachings of Christ Jesus, the Way-shower. As a result of a major operation, I was facing a second one six years later.

It is with a heart full of thanks and love that I send this testimony. Christian Science has been a wonderful help to me for many years.

I am indeed grateful for the opportunity to glorify God by adding my testimony to the growing list of those who have been healed through Christian Science. My first healing was that of a fibroid tumor and internal hemorrhages.

" Freely ye have received, freely give. " I certainly have received freely, and I hope that what I have to give in this testimony will be read by those who, like myself, have attempted the intellectual approach to Christian Science.

It is a privilege and joy to testify to the truth of my mother's testimony, in so far as my own experience has touched hers. Christian Science has been the blessed Comforter in our home always.
