Testimonies of Healing

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give the following testimony. About eight years ago Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend who saw my urgent need.

Over four years ago I was ill with a severe bladder and kidney disease. I had been in bed for twenty-four weeks and was unable to find any relief from the agonizing pains.

Nine years ago, when Christian Science was first presented to me by a neighbor who could see my need, it found me physically weak and in mental chaos due to shock and illness. I had prayed long for relief from this mental condition, and when I was told that Christian Science could help me, I accepted this truth at once and called a practitioner, who came to me that afternoon and lovingly told me that "to those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" ( Science and Health, Pref.

I did not come to Christian Science for healing. It was brought to me while I was nursing in materia medica.

It is a privilege and pleasure to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. I am deeply grateful for a healing of that which an X-ray picture disclosed as fractured ribs, torn ligaments, and bruises.

Christian Science attracted my attention some years ago, when, after trying all available material methods and means, without finding relief, a member of my family, who at the time was a physical, mental, and financial wreck, was led to take up the study of Christian Science, and within a very short time was healed of every ailment. I could not help observing the miraculous results, and in appreciation thereof I started to read the textbook.

It is with a heart overflowing with joy and gratitude that I wish to confirm my daughter's testimony. Through Christian Science I have had many healings.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me. Shortly after beginning to attend the church services I became ill, and not then understanding the healing power of divine Love, I went to a doctor.

I should like to add my testimony to those given in the periodicals, which I have enjoyed reading and which have been a great help in the study of Christian Science. I took up the study of this Science thirteen years ago, when in great need of physical, financial, and spiritual help.

I cannot find words to express my gratitude. When I was first drawn to Christian Science it was not for physical healing, although I was pronounced in a critical condition.
