Testimonies of Healing

At the time Christian Science found me, over seven years ago, I was as much in prison as if I had been incased within solid steel walls. Not only was I in a mental prison, but I had tuberculosis, a disease I had feared from childhood.

It is with a heart full of love and a deep feeling of gratitude to our beloved Leader that I give my testimony of the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. Over fifteen years ago I had my first experience of the power of Truth to heal.

I am grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me since it was first presented by a kind friend about two years ago. Hoping that others beginning their study of this wonderful religion of love may realize that great length of time is not essential to gain a demonstrable understanding of this truth, I am sending this testimony.

For the many healings and blessings I have both received and witnessed through Christian Science I am most sincerely grateful. It was while searching for a loving God that a dear one had a healing and Christian Science was brought to my notice.

I wish to express my gratitude for the daily strength and courage which Christian Science brings to me when I seek first the kingdom of God. With four young children it has proved a great preventive as well as a curative.

Chiristian Science came to me in answer to prayer. From childhood I had read the Scriptures and had learned to love them, but as I grew older I was unable to accept some of the interpretations put upon them by the orthodox church of which I was then a member.

The light of Truth dawned for me the first week I began reading Science and Health. I had borrowed the book just for the purpose of finding out what Christian Science meant and how it compared with my own religion.

Christian Science has brought so many blessings into my life and so many lovely healings that it would take innumerable pages to recount them all. One of the greatest of these was the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School for four years.

I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, although an internal disorder, which might have led to serious complications, yielded when I gained a desire for the truth about God and man's relationship to Him and the universe as expounded by our great Master. As I look back upon the past six years, since taking up the study of Christian Science, I know that nothing else can ever take its place in solving not only my own problems but those of all mankind as well.

Many have been the blessings received and the lessons learned since I began the study of Christian Science some years ago. I have had many physical healings for which I am indeed grateful, but I am much more grateful to have a growing knowledge of a religion which I can take with me every day, everywhere, and which is available to meet my every need and solve all my problems.
