Testimonies of Healing

The five years in which I have been a student of Christian Science have yielded me a rich harvest in spiritual progress, with its accompanying physical healing. Mary Baker Eddy, through her textbook, has brought clarity out of my nebulous beliefs regarding God and existence.

It is with gratitude that I send the following testimony. We were a family of sufferers.

With a grateful heart for the understanding of God I have gained from the study of Christian Science, I send this testimony. Twenty-nine years ago, during a time of trouble and great sorrow, a friend told me of Christian Science.

Christian Science was brought to our home by a relative when I was a child. When this relative came to visit us and we learned of the remarkable healing which she had experienced through Christian Science, a healing which came after the best efforts of the physicians had failed, we were ready to listen.

It is with a great sense of gratitude and joy that I send my testimony. I first knew of Christian Science through loving friends, but for a long time I did not study it much, not being sufficiently interested, and thinking I did not have the necessary time.

I should like to express my great gratitude for the many blessings I have received through Christian Science. Whenever I think of my healings, I thank God with all my heart for His infinite love, by which He blesses all His children.

I was in Russia through the revolution. In 1924 I came to America, and in 1926 I became very ill.

Two years ago, during a splendid northern winter, I was unfortunate enough to break my leg while skiing and was obliged to stay indoors for five weeks, part of the time in bed, as a result of which I got a thrombus in my lung. At this same time my husband passed on, and I was overwhelmed with depression.

In heartfelt appreciation for the healings which have come to me through the application of the rules of Christian Science, I herewith record my experience in the hope that others may be benefited. By declaring and perceiving the truth as taught in Christian Science, I was instantly healed of uncontrollable muscles on the right side of my face.

Gratefully acknowledging the many blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science I give this testimony. Nearly twenty one years ago I caught my first glimpse of what the understanding of divine Mind can do, for I was healed, in one absent treatment, of appendicitis, after surgeons had given me the verdict that an operation within twelve hours was absolutely imperative.
