Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came to me when I was a child, and all through the years, as I have learned to follow the Christ-way as taught in Christian Science, I have proved beyond all cavil that the Word of God is indeed a covert from the storms of earthly experiences, where we may enter and abide in safety. Among my experiences the following taught me very clearly that spiritual progress, not time, brings mental and physical healing.

For the many proofs of God's love and protecting care, as revealed to me in the teachings of Christian Science, I wish to make grateful acknowledgment. Christian Science was presented to me by kind friends about fifteen years ago, at a time of great need.

I should like to express deep and heartfelt gratitude to God for the discovery of the healing power of the Christ, Truth, as taught in Christian Science by our dear Leader. Christian Science found me when I was practically at death's door, and restored me to health and happiness.

I desire to express my profound gratitude for many blessings which I have received over a period of twenty years through the study and application of Christian Science. It has taught me to love the Bible, and through the light shed upon its teachings by the Christian Science textbook I am learning to discern the spiritual import of the Word of God, and to apply it to my daily experiences.

This beautiful truth of God's love and healing power is spreading over the whole world. How good it is to have given to us, through our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which teaches us how to read and understand the Bible, the Word of God! I was reared by good Christian parents; my father's last years were spent in the ministry of a Christian church.

I wish to express gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science. For many years I was unable to see Mrs.

It was my privilege and joy to have Christian Science presented to me in 1917, when I was suffering both mentally and physically, and was greatly discouraged. At that time a member of my family called in a doctor, but I refused to take any medicine or to let him treat me.

Reading the word "conjunctivitis" brought to my thought a healing I had four years ago, when Christian Science first became known to me. I had suffered for a number of years with this most distressing disease, which recurred regularly every November, each time becoming worse.

In our home, in the more than twenty-five years that we have been studying Christian Science, we have had many glorious glimpses of the "kingdom of heaven" spoken of by Jesus, and defined in part by our Leader as "the reign of harmony in divine Science" ( Science and Health, p. 590 ).

It is indeed a privilege to testify to the healings and many blessings which I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. Before coming into Science I had medical aid constantly, for I had been subject to bronchitis from childhood.
