Testimonies of Healing

I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for all the good it has brought into my life. Not only have I been healed physically, but I have also become more happy and hopeful.

Isaiah tells us to "seek .

For ten years it has been my privilege to be a student of Christian Science, and from the first, healings of many difficulties were manifested in our family. Among them were nearly all the so-called children's diseases, the disappearance of adenoids, which had caused very labored breathing, blood poisoning, hives, ivy poisoning, wasp stings, and a knee, badly cut by a fall on a perforated iron mat.

I consider it not only a duty and a privilege to give a testimony of the wonderful experiences I have had in Christian Science, but also a glorious opportunity to count my blessings. To those wishing for some assurance as to the efficacy of Christian Science I can say that it has met every need of a family of five for over sixteen years.

I feel that I must send in my testimony to show, like others, my appreciation of all that Christian Science has done for me. About three years ago I was healed of a very peculiar form of fits from which I had suffered for over three years.

After many postponements, I feel that I must pay a just debt of gratitude to Christian Science, though I also feel that this debt is most difficult to repay even in part. Perhaps the best way this obligation may be partially fulfilled is through an acknowledgment of the lessons learned.

Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend when I expressed my dread of a journey because of a condition I had experienced several times. She brought me a Christian Science Sentinel and said, "If you will read this, I am sure you will not be sick.

I am sincerely grateful for all the good that has come to me through the study and application of the teachings about God and man's relationship to Him found in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. For the past ten years Christian Science has been my only physician, and during that time I have experienced many beautiful proofs of God's healing and protecting power.

For a long time I have wished to give a written expression of my deep gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me through the teachings of Christian Science. I was first impressed by hearing of a lady who had been raised up from years of paralysis by Christian Science.

It is with sincerest gratitude to God, and to Mary Baker Eddy, our dear Leader, that I give this testimony. Some eight years ago, after going through three days of diagnosis, I was told I had ulcers of the stomach and intestines, gall-bladder and heart trouble, and several complications, and that it would be necessary for me to remain in the hospital for treatment.
