Testimonies of Healing

I wish to give thanks for the many benefits received through the understanding I have gained in Christian Science. My first healing was of the need of wearing glasses.

It is in grateful appreciation of and love for Christian Science that I bear testimony to its healing and regenerating power. It is over seven years since I took up the study of Christian Science after I had consulted the seventh physician and had been told that I should be obliged to take medical treatments for some time, and that no doubt an operation for appendicitis and stomach and bowel trouble would be necessary.

Nearly thirty-four years ago I was a semi-invalid, suffering from so-called hereditary tuberculosis. The physician said I would live three months or perhaps a year.

It is with a sincere desire to express the great joy that has come into my life through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science that I give this testimony. When our daughter was small, she passed through a period of about two years of great suffering with adenoids.

It is with a sense of deep gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I express my thankfulness for the blessings which have been mine for a number of years through the application of Christian Science to many problems, physical, mental, and financial. When I was a young girl, a condition of blurred vision came to me at a time when I was doing very close musical work.

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I wish to relate a part of my experience in Christian Science, hoping that others who may be halting between two opinions will be encouraged to press on, for the right way will surely open. Christian Science came to my notice in the first years of this century.

With deep gratitude I wish to testify to the fact that I have received many blessings through Christian Science. After I had been under medical treatment for over a year because of lung and kidney trouble, I heard of Christian Science through some dear friends, and turned to a practitioner, who gave me treatment.

I have received so many blessings through the study and application of Christian Science that it is with a very grateful heart I give this testimony, in the hope that my experience may help others to find this panacea for all ills, even those pronounced hopeless and incurable. Many years ago I became afflicted with what a reputable physician called varicose veins, and was forced to wear full-length elastic stockings on both limbs.

Words seem very inadequate to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has brought into my life. When I was four years old a supposedly inherited disease, which the physicians called psoriasis, appeared all over my body.

The storehouse of my life is filled to overflowing with blessings received from the study and application of Christian Science. I have been sustained by the knowledge of God's omnipotent love through childbirth and also through the sorrow caused by the passing on of a dear one.
