Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came to me on the battlefields during the late war through the aid of a Christian Science chaplain. He was with me on the front lines and we had many experiences together.

It is recorded in the Bible that after each miracle Jesus performed the people glorified God; and so this testimony is given to the glory of God and with my grateful thanks to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who has explained the teachings of Jesus the Christ so plainly and satisfactorily in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," that I was able to accept Christian Science and become a Christian. I was born a Jewess.

The availability of God's law as revealed in Christian Science has been proved to me in many instances of protection, provision, peace, guidance, health, and happiness. From childhood the Bible had been a constant source of interest to me.

I first became interested in Christian Science through the healing of a very severe cold. I had always been subject to these colds and, since my father was a druggist, every known material remedy had been tried.

In gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me in the past sixteen years I submit this testimony. At the time I took up the study of Christian Science I had been given only a short time to live by a physician who had exhausted his skill in trying to relieve a stomach trouble from which I had been suffering for several years.

It is with a deep sense of joy and gratitude that I desire to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. For a number of years I had been groping in the dark, trying to find the path to health and happiness.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science, and for all the good that has come to me since I began to study the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. These two books, together with other writings by Mrs.

It was due to our making the acquaintance of some people who were living up to the teachings of Christian Science to a marked degree that we became interested in this truth during a summer vacation a number of years ago. The more we heard of this religion and saw it lived by these friends, the more interested we became, and the first time anything went amiss with us we turned to it for healing.

This testimony is an expression of gratitude for many blessings which have come to me during the years since I first became interested in Christian Science. My first healings —one of a need for wearing eyeglasses and the other of a severe case of stomach trouble—were accomplished through the reading of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," written by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

It is hard to express in words what Christian Science has meant to me and to my family. When I first became interested, it was with the desire to be healed; and the need was great.
