Testimonies of Healing

In loving appreciation of Christian Science and of the unselfish and inspired life of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I wish to express my gratitude. I have had so many reasons to be grateful for Christian Science that it is difficult to single out any one experience.

I wish to submit an account ofa healing which I experienced. One morning I was awakened withdistressing symptoms of nausea and indigestion.

My investigation of Christian Science began about eighteen years ago at a time when in my youthful zest for knowledge and experience I was inquiring into every phase of what I then would have termed "life. " I was attracted to it by witnessing a remarkable healing in a neighbor's family and the loving application of this teaching in their daily lives.

Gratitude for all the good that Christian Science has brought me prompts me to add my testimony to the many which are forthcoming from grateful hearts all over the world. I have had many healings in Christian Science, but will give account of those which to human sense seem the most remarkable, in the hope of giving someone else courage.

Christian Science has given me such a happy, joyous outlook on life that I should like to express my deep gratitude for its teachings. It has given me an understanding of how to turn to God in every difficulty, and has brought the knowledge of His ever protecting care as something I can entirely depend upon.

I am very desirous of expressing my thankfulness, at least in a measure, for what Christian Science has done for me. When I have applied it with love and sincerity, I have had wonderful healings, some with the help of practitioners, and some by my own understanding of the truth.

When I look back on the twenty-odd years that Christian Science has sustained and protected me, I realize that I could never in one testimony begin to express the gratitude I feel for all the blessings received. We may not always escape unpleasant experiences, but our knowledge of Christian Science can protect us from unhappy results.

I wish to express my gratitude for all the help I have so far experienced in Christian Science. As an after effect of active service in the army, my nerves were supposed to be completely ruined.

I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, but through seeking the truth, after studying and investigating different religions and teachings for several years. Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have been healed of tonsillitis, influenza, ivy poisoning, ptomaine poisoning, measles, and headaches.

I am very grateful for all the good that Christian Science has brought into my life. My nervous system was out of order, my heart always troubled me, and a nerve condition in my throat irritated me, causing an annoying permanent cough.
