
Testimonies of Healing
I am sincerely grateful for Christian Science. It was certainly a great help to me during my mother's experience, and I know I can always look back on it as a great lesson in many ways.
It is with a heart filled with gratitude for the healing power of Truth as taught in Christian Science that I send this testimony. It is about thirteen years since I first asked for help from a practitioner for a severe nervous breakdown.
It is with a great sense of gratitude that I wish to share with others the proof I have had of God's healing power in a case of blood poisoning. The palm of my hand was quite calloused as a result of gardening, and beside one of these callouses a large blister appeared.
On page 494 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has given us this wonderful statement: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.

A wonderful healing of a member of my family through Christian Science treatment, and the evident spiritualization of thought manifested in a greater love for study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, so impressed me, and so invigorated and purified the home atmosphere, that I was persuaded to ask a very loving practitioner for treatment for severe headaches from which I had suffered periodically for several years, and which usually lasted three or four days at a time and recurred frequently. I was completely healed by one absent treatment and the reading of Science and Health.
In the spring of 1925 I was a physical wreck. As a consequence of this the ambition of a lifetime was blasted just at the point of realization, and a source of income cut off; moreover, I was heartbroken and weary of life.
Over four years ago, while waiting for a train on the platform of an elevated railway, I was struck by a fast moving train, thrown to the platform, picked up unconscious, and taken to a hospital. The verdict given was that I might pass on.
At the age of twelve I was attracted to Christian Science by the healing of my grandmother, and as a result attended the Christian Science Sunday School. Later, however, I drifted away from it and, through a blind faith in what I thought Christian Science to be, tried to combine with it will-power and psychology.
Over eight years ago I was instantaneously healed of a nervous breakdown, together with palpitation of the heart and stomach trouble, while a friend was reading to me from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Before this healing I had been almost unable to sleep or eat for nearly three weeks.
