Testimonies of Healing

Having received so much good from Christian Science, I give this testimony as an expression of my gratitude. In 1917, I met with an accident which resulted in the fracture of the bone of the upper right arm, as well as the socket at the shoulder joint.

I first heard of Christian Science over two years ago through a dear friend who had received a wonderful healing. He invited me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.

I was born in Italy, but came to this country more than thirty years ago. About fifteen years later I became interested in Christian Science.

With a deep sense of gratitude I give my testimony of a wonderful proof of God's care. In February, 1922, I was suffering with an inward cancer and chronic constipation.

In 1922 I suffered from a nervous breakdown and gradually settled into a state of mental depression from which my physician and others seemed unable to arouse me. This condition was brought on by the passing on of a very dear son, leaving me one son who had had a weak heart from childhood.

Sincere gratitude for all the good that I have been privileged to receive through the healing truth of Christian Science prompts me to give my testimony. Since earliest childhood I had suffered from troublesome indigestion which caused me much suffering.

Christian Science does heal, and permanently. I am happy and grateful to make the above statement.

At the time I married, my husband and his family were students of Christian Science, but it was nearly three years later before I turned to it with real interest, not because of any specific healing, but because I was convinced of its Rightness. I had always loved and studied the teachings of the Bible, but there were many questions that perplexed me, and these were made clear through the teachings of Christian Science.

I was led to Christian Science in January, 1926, while I was a patient in a hospital. A friend asked me if I desired treatment and invited me to the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.

About three years ago I was suffering from a severe nervous breakdown following a serious operation. After trying all kinds of drugs for insomnia, I finally became discouraged and decided to give Christian Science a trial.
