Testimonies of Healing

Hoping that my testimony may help others, as others have helped me, I joyfully send it to the Field. When I think of what my life was without Christian Science it seems like a sort of dreamy existence, in an old and now almost forgotten world, and that I never really lived until I was born into the understanding of Christian Science.

Words fail to express my thankfulness for God's goodness and wisdom in sending Christ Jesus to show us the way, and to Mrs. Eddy, who has so fully revealed the truth contained in the Bible.

All my life I had suffered with nervous headaches, and for five years I had a stomach trouble, and was never well. Most of the time I suffered intense pain, and every organ in my body seemed deranged in some way.

Two years ago I was suffering with bronchial tuberculosis, when Christian Science was brought to my notice by my physician. I had been confined to my bed most of the time for seven months, and, being a trained nurse, I knew there was nothing known to the medical profession that would benefit me.

I feel it a privilege to tell what Christian Science has done and is doing for me each day. I first became interested through physical healing, and then came a desire to know how this healing was accomplished.

I wish to let my friends know why I think well of Christian Science. About six years ago.

I have felt for a long time that I ought to tell of the many blessings that I and my family have received through Christian Science. It is almost two years since my husband was nearly blind,— could not bear the light at all, and for a long time we had given up all hope that he could ever see again.

It is now nearly seven years since Christian Science was first brought to my notice. Up to that time, I was almost continually under a physician's care, scarcely knowing a well day.

Christian Science has blessed me for years, and I feel the time has come to express my gratitude publicly. As is frequently the case, my first conviction came through physical healing.

In gratitude to God for the many blessings received through Christian Science, I wish to give my testimony. It is now over six years since I began to study Christian Science, and these six years have been the shortest, happiest, and fullest years of my life.
