In 1907 I became the victim of a disease which the doctors called incurable. They said that I would never be able to walk again. When it seemed that I was very near the grave, my children were called home. One of my sons had heard something about Christian Science, and he quickly sent for help, telegraphing for a practitioner. The end was apparently very near when the dear woman entered the room. She only said to me, "We will help you to get well again." So she worked for me, and the next day she asked me if I would not like to get up. I arose, and seemed to take on fresh life. The second day she went home again, and worked for me as we are taught in Christian Science, for two weeks longer. In six months I was healed and was able to take up my household duties again.
For this and for many other healings I am sincerely grateful to our Father-Mother God, to Christ Jesus, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.—Alden, Iowa.
