A PRACTITIONER'S ADMONITION

From the November 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Open your heart to good, my friend;
Oh, let it fairly overflow
Thy consciousness, for good alone
Is here for us to have and know.
Open your ears to hear, your eyes
To see, what God has freely given—
Each day something so fresh, so new,
So wonderful, revealing heaven.

For heaven itself is found within;
Love's rich supply no limit knows.
Open your hand to give; oh, share
Each blessing, for 'tis thus it grows.
The love of God will enter then,
Dispelling mortal mind's false fears.
The Christ, Truth, will become your guide,
And Love will wipe away all tears.

Ah, then your heart will sing, your lips
Will voice the glory of His praise.
Throughout the earth will gladness ring
When each and all their voice will raise
Proclaiming good, and good alone—
For this will overcome all strife!
O friend, accept what God has given—
His love, His truth, eternal life.
