PEACE AND THANKSGIVING

From the November 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God and man forever coexist in the harmony of divine Life and Love. Unchanging concord pervades immortal existence, so the peace of God eternally belongs to man. Harmony remains forever new, effectual everywhere. Yet the human wayfarer, weary of futile toil and discord, cries:

"O where shall ease of heart be found
And where the unracked realm of love
and harmony?"

Our divine Father is ever conscious of the perfection and harmlessness of His creation. Christ Jesus said, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Christian Science teaches the needy to find relief from hopeless longing in the eternal comfort inherited from divine Love. Peace appears as one prays with spiritual understanding. So when one's thoughts are spiritually roused by Christian Science to see these facts, when one is healed, accordingly, and therefore set free spiritually, and is untroubled because forlorn fear has vanished, will not his thoughts overflow with spontaneous gratitude for a clearer sense of God, who is Love here and now?
