Christian Science has brought much joy. health, and freedom to me for many years. My mother took up the study of Christian Science when I was a girl and received many healings and much comfort therefrom.
The first healing I received from my own application of the truth was of a severe burn in the palm of my hand. I had just memorized "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and so had the opportunity to prove its healing efficacy. After I had repeated it a few times, realizing the truth therein, the pain ceased and there was no trace of the burn. Needless to say, this was very encouraging to a beginner.
When my mother passed on, deep sorrow was healed through the help of a practitioner.
