"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." I want to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and tell what it did for me in an hour of great need.
I was a physical wreck when I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. That evening I ate my first dinner and slept all night for the first time in many months, months which had been filled with pain, weakness, and sleepless nights. When I had been reading the book for six weeks I had an instantaneous healing of what had been pronounced a tubercular kidney. This healing took place eighteen years ago. The doctor who had attended me had tried very hard to cure the ailment but failed. Is it any wonder that my heart is filled with gratitude and love for Mrs. Eddy?
My second healing was of pneumonia. Christian Science again healed me, this time with the help of a practitioner. It is a sacred thing to testify of God's love toward man, to honor Christ Jesus, and our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am most grateful for Science and Health, which has become my physician and awakened me to the truth of being. Membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church is a privilege of which I want to prove myself worthy.— San Francisco, California.
