One day as I read the testimonies in the Christian Science Sentinel, this thought came to me: If those who have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science and experienced beautiful healings, as I have, do not write testimonies for publication, there may not be sufficient testimonies to meet the need of the periodicals. So I decided to send my testimony in immediately.
I have had many healings, but the most outstanding one was a healing of a nervous breakdown. It was not instantaneous, but the condition was overcome in a remarkably short time with the help of a practitioner. I am grateful for this healing, as it taught me many valuable lessons, such as patience, humility, and more love for God and my fellow man.
I have had many proofs of God's care in protection and supply. Several years ago I lost my position, but I refused to become discouraged or to hold any resentment towards my former employer, knowing all the time that God would supply my every need. I was living in a city away from my home, so I moved back. In a short time a place was opened to me right at home which proved to be much better than the one I had had before. Truly "the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want;" and in Isaiah we read, "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom."
