The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the election of Will B. Davis, C.S.B., to the office of Committee on Publication for Massachusetts and Manager of Committees on Publication, effective November 16, 1953.
Mr. Davis succeeds Thomas E. Hurley, C.S.B., who was recently elected to membership on The Christian Science Board of Directors.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Davis served as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, to which he was first elected in 1943. Mr. Davis attended the public schools of Cleveland, Ohio, and New York City, and completed his academic education at New York University. Before entering the public practice of Christian Science in 1931, he was Western Manager of The Literary Digest. He became interested in Christian Science in 1916, and in 1925 joined a branch church, and a year later united in membership with The Mother Church. Soon thereafter he received Primary class instruction. He was a member of the Normal class in the Board of Education in 1946, following which he became a teacher of Christian Science. Mr. Davis will continue to hold his classes and the meetings of his pupils' association in Chicago, Illinois.
