It is with a feeling of deep gratitude that I testify to a healing which brought me into Christian Science, the new and wonderful way of Life.
Some years ago while I was depending on materia medica, as was the custom of my entire family, a malady was manifested on my body that involved the nerves and skin. It became progressively worse and caused a great deal of discomfort. My own physician of many years' standing told me frankly he could not prescribe for my benefit. He sent me to a specialist, but after thorough tests the specialist gave up too.
For four long years this was the pattern of my experiences. I went from specialist to specialist. Each admitted he could not diagnose the disease and therefore could not help. There were many of these specialists, and they were in at least seven fields of medicine. It was discouraging to pay large fees and get nothing in return. All this while the disease fluctuated, at times becoming so painful that I would be bedridden; then it would fade away somewhat, but never completely.
