MAN ENJOYS CONSISTENT HARMONY

From the November 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

JAMES in his Epistle asked (3:11), "Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?" The negative answer to this query suggests that contraries cannot coexist, that a spiritually harmonious situation can never lose its stability.

The first chapter of Genesis states that God made everything good. Christian Science shows that because God made all good, there can be no evil; God cannot send forth both good and bad. God maintains His entire creation at the peak of perfection.

Although some men may appear to express both evil traits and good ones, yet man, a spiritual idea, expresses only Godlike qualities. A correct understanding of man will make these qualities evident in human experience.
