Members of The Mother Church from many parts of the world attended the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church on June 4. It was with deep interest that they listened to the reports of the worldwide activities and progress of Christian Science. Gratitude was expressed for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for her lifework, and particularly for her establishing, through divine guidance, The Mother Church and its branches. The members were happy to hear again how Christian Science, with its spiritually enlightening message of Christ-healing, is reaching the receptive thought of mankind.

The meeting opened with the singing from the Christian Science Hymnal of Hymn No. 30, "Brood o'er us with Thy shelt'ring wing," the words of which are by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The retiring President, Mrs. , then read passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy:
