My first contact with Christian Science for myself resulted in an instantaneous healing. The wonder of this has never left me.
Sometime before this experience my mother, to whom I was deeply devoted, became interested in Christian Science to the extent of attending church services, lectures, and occasionally calling on a practitioner; but I had no interest in the religion for myself. So when my mother passed on quite suddenly, I had a deep sense of desolation. I withdrew from everything and refused all contacts and activities.
