Christian Science healed me even though I knew very little of its teachings. I was faced with a choice between seeking help through material means or complete reliance on God.
For about seven years my wife had been a student of Christian Science, and even though the children had healings through Christian Science treatment, certain things I heard and saw did not seem to agree with my sense of logic, and I refused to look further into the teachings. Several more years passed in this way.
However, it did not seem good to me that there should be a division in the family, so I began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for the sole purpose of using it as a basis for my arguments to persuade my wife to forsake Christian Science. As I read, I realized that this was what I had searched for since my youth. The joy and gratitude my wife expressed when I told her what I saw through reading Science and Health cannot be described in words.
