To Help Others Through God's Word

The divine Word is a mighty healing power in human affairs. No mortal condition or force is capable of resisting its transforming, regenerating influence when it is spoken with the authority of Christly understanding. "What a word is this!" said the people who heard Christ Jesus rebuke what the Bible refers to as "a spirit of an unclean devil."Luke 4:36, 33; They saw what happened. The man who had apparently been possessed by the unclean spirit was healed.

Jesus had faith that the words he spoke were divinely inspired. He said, "As my Father hath taught me, I speak these things."John 8:28; It was through God's grace that the divine Word came to humanity through the Master in his time, and that it healed, comforted, and fed his contemporaries. It is through God's grace that we receive it now and have the privilege of speaking it as Jesus did for the benefit of others in the world today.

In this age Mrs. Eddy had equal certainty that her book Science and Health voiced the same healing Word of God, eternal Mind. In her poem, Christ and Christmas, she writes:
