I shall always be grateful that I attended the Christian Science Sunday School as a child. However, when I was in my teens, I drifted away from Science. When my daughter was two years old, she became very ill. She would not eat or get out of bed. A doctor, who was called by a member of the family, prescribed medicine for her, but she strenuously objected to taking the medicine. I remembered my physical needs had been met in Christian Science by the prayerful work of my mother.
At this time another member of my family pointed out to me that we should not ignore difficulties, and suggested that I try Science. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and in a couple of days the child was completely well, running and playing freely.
I am humbly grateful for the freedom gained from headaches, which I experienced almost weekly, for the certainty of solving business problems, and for the demonstration of ample supply. I know that these healings came about through my seeking and finding a better understanding of God through the teachings of Christian Science.
