Dear Friend,
Whether you cherry-pick one article or pore over each page of this issue, one point rings clear: There is hope amid life’s pressing problems. Whether you are fearful of your country’s government or struggling to rise above the influence of drugs and alcohol, people from around the world are finding comfort, progress, and even healing through Christian Science.
The articles in this issue of the Journal show the effect of prayer, and record what happens when individuals seek answers in something higher: God. Take, for instance, the account of a man whose character was changed after waking from a coma and learning that God is actually Love (see “Live life now!” by Fujiko Signs). Or consider how author Virginia Gathings prayed to remediate a potentially violent protest, and it turned out to be a peaceful one (see “Beholding the government of God”). When we seek Spirit, we begin to see the situations of our day resolved.
