Testimonies of Healing

I did not come to Christian Science for healing; I sought it for a religion. After being a member and ardent worker in an orthodox church for thirty years, I became very unhappy and felt I was walking in darkness spiritually.

As a child I attended a Protestant church and Sunday school and loved their teachings, but they did not go far enough. I asked to see results in the form of physical healings, and very early questioned why these results were not accomplished.

It is about twenty years since I first took up the study of Christian Science. During these years it has been my privilege to witness and to experience many wonderful healings.

A Grateful heart impels me to testify to the wonderful help I have received in Christian Science. In November, 1924, I was suffering from a bad festering on my left forefinger.

I should like to give my testimony of Christian Science healing and why I became interested in Christian Science. A school-teacher had been telling us for some time that a dear one did not need to suffer, and we said we should like to know how it could be prevented, as our efforts had been exhausted so far as we knew.

In loving gratitude for many benefits received in Christian Science I should like to add my testimony, in the hope that it may help others as I have been helped innumerable times. For many years I was under the care of doctors and specialists, because of internal injuries caused by a fall; but the various treatments failed to give permanent relief.

Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God for all it has done for me and mine, and for all it is doing for the whole world. Weak lungs, pneumonia, bronchitis, influenza, a badly sprained ankle, ptomaine poisoning, and severe colds have all been healed through the application of Christian Science.

I wish to express my gratitude to God for the blessings I have received. Over twelve years ago I was instantaneously healed of acute kidney trouble through the loving help of a practitioner, who began her treatment by telling me that God is Love, and that I am His child, therefore I need not fear.

My baby had an irritation of the skin which medical skill failed to help. It appeared when he was four months old; and when he was nine months old I took up the study of Christian Science, hoping he would benefit thereby.

My first healing in Christian Science was from stomach trouble, to periodical attacks of which I had been subject since a child. Many remedies were tried, including dieting, but without avail.
