Testimonies of Healing

In Isaiah we read, "Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. " In loving obedience to this latter command I offer testimony to the efficacy of spiritual healing, revealed in Christian Science and proved by demonstration during a period of more than eight years.

After many years of blessings which have come to our home through the study and application of Christian Science, I want to write an expression of gratitude. Several years ago I visited an aunt who was a Christian Scientist.

The profound gratitude I feel towards God impels me to give it expression. I am sincerely grateful to Christian Science for the instruction and help I have received through its teachings.

Christian Science first came to my attention in November, 1913. My mother, who had been attending the services of a Christian Science Society for about two weeks, gave me a Sentinel to read and invited me to go with her to a Sunday service.

I thank our Father-Mother God for revealing Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy.

When Christian Science was first presented to me nearly twenty years ago I was greatly in need of mental and physical healing. Christian Science meant something more than this healing, for it helped me to find God.

At an early age I began to seek an understanding of the Bible and how the commandments therein were to be obeyed. My questions were not answered by Sunday school teachers and ministers.

So much good has come into my life through Christian Science that I should like to bring my tithe of gratitude into the storehouse. For years my great desire was to find Truth.

Ten years ago I began earnestly to investigate the teachings of Christian Science. While at that time this doctrine seemed to me too transcendental for practical application, I finally decided, after much tender persuasion by some ladies who shared my home, to find out whether or not it was the wonderful revelation its adherents claimed it to be; for they had told me that this proof was available to all.

I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me, and is doing for all mankind. Having been born and raised in this Science, with no other help, I have had many wonderful proofs of the efficacy and healing power of Life, Truth, and Love.
