Testimonies of Healing

For many years I have read and enjoyed the testimonies of others in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel, and I have rejoiced and thanked God that this wonderful truth has come to our age to bring deliverance to all who seek it. I did not take up Christian Science for physical healing for myself, though I needed it very much, but began to study with a dear one to help him; and in doing so I was seeking my own in another's good, for in a very short time I found I had been healed of valvular heart disease and an internal disorder which had troubled me for many years.

It is with a heart filled with gratitude I am writing this testimony of the many blessings and healings Christian Science has brought to me. The knowledge that God is ever present has given me peace, contentment, and joy.

Hoping that someone may be helped by reading this testimony I would gratefully acknowledge the wonderful benefits I have received through the ministrations of Christian Science. My health had been poor for a long time, and two years previous to my healing I had been in a hospital and operated on for a malignant growth.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science. My first healing occurred when I was about ten years old.

Filled with gratitude for Christian Science, I wish to testify to the wonderful manner in which my life was saved. In November, 1923, I was suddenly taken very ill with a serious attack of appendicitis and pleurisy.

I have been healed through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I want to acknowledge through these columns to the world the most wonderful instantaneous healing of which I have ever known. In the year 1910 I was on my way to the Rocky Mountain canon in company with my son and son-in-law.

Christian Science found me in a desperate condition, ill with a prolonged attack of pleuro-pneumonia. My illness seemed the more serious because the physicians had placed me under the law of inherited tuberculosis.

When I was quite a young girl I suffered with typhoid fever, which left me mentally exhausted and extremely nervous. For three years many material remedies were tried.

I had always been a delicate child. From infancy the thought that I was not strong and could not live long was held over me.

I wish to express the great gratitude I feel for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. A little over four years ago, when I was willing to accept the teachings of Christian Science, I was healed through treatment in a short time and restored to health and usefulness.
