Testimonies of Healing

When Christian Science was first presented to me I was despondent, unhappy, and miserable in mind and body. This unhappy mental condition was expressed in a diseased physique.

Words could never sufficiently express my gratitude to God for all the blessings that have come into our home, to me and to my family, through the study and application of Christian Science. My first healing was of chronic rheumatism, which took place while I was reading the chapter on Prayer in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Christian Science has been a wonderful help to me for many years. I became interested in it through my dear mother when I was quite a small child.

Five years ago Christian Science was presented to me, at a time when in the sorest trouble. Our second boy was very ill with tuberculosis of the throat, and after six months' medical treatment under our doctor he was ordered to undergo an operation which was a very serious one.

Eight years ago our family became interested in Christian Science when my father was in need of healing from a nervous breakdown. The healing took place after three weeks' treatment had been lovingly given by a Christian Science practitioner.

I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but because I saw many wonderful proofs of the healing power of Truth in the family with which I live. I cannot say how grateful I am to God and to Mrs.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science because of the many physical healings it has brought to me, and also because of the wonderful sustaining power it has given me in many kinds of problems, proving to me that God is a very present help in trouble. In the year 1918, according to the diagnosis of my physician I was afflicted with tuberculosis of the lungs.

I am indeed grateful for Christian Science and what it has done for me and for our baby, who was born over a year ago. I feel I owe a great debt to this Christ, Truth, which has lifted me to higher and holier ground.

Christian Science has healed me of chronic stomach trouble, which seemed to be a part of my lot ever since I was a small child. Many home remedies were tried, but only temporary relief resulted.

It is now over eight years since I became interested in Christian Science. At that time through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for the first time, I was healed of eye trouble and was able to lay aside glasses which I had worn for a number of years.
