Testimonies of Healing
I am indeed grateful for the many blessings which have come to me through the study of Christian Science. About twenty-five years ago my wife met a lady on a train, a Christian Scientist, who lovingly offered her the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," to read on her journey.
It has been over twenty-four years since I first heard of Christian Science. At that time I had been under the care of a physician for nine years.
Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and I have received many healings and many blessings through its application. Last summer I had a healing which I am so very grateful for that I wish to pass it on, thinking it may be of help to others.
It is my sincere desire to express gratitude and humility through giving this testimony of healing which our son experienced, that others may be encouraged and uplifted. Both my husband and I are sincerely grateful for the loving help of a friend who worked for us for three days, when we were unable to overcome the error.
In loving gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy, and with the desire to help others, I bear witness to the healing power of Christian Science. From childhood I had been a semi-invalid, suffering constantly from pain and weakness and exhaustion.

It is with the desire to be grateful that I am giving this testimony to the power of Truth. It would be impossible for me to count the blessings I have received in Christian Science, and am receiving through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon and the other writings which our Leader has provided for us.
Christian Science came to me a little over four years ago, when I was without hope in the world. It mastered many discordant conditions, including a desire to die and a dread of the grave (see Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p.
Five years ago I was stricken with rheumatism; I grew worse, until finally I was in an almost helpless condition. I had no use of my left arm or hand, which was so badly swollen that I could not move my fingers; and I was obliged to carry this arm in a sling for three weeks.
For twenty-five years I was a slave to medicine; and why it is that the human race will continue to rely on earthly remedies for their ailments when the balm of Gilead is at their very door, is now a mystery to me. Taking some kind of medicine almost daily, I would be all right for a few days, then have to take to my bed again, perhaps for two or three months at a time.
