Testimonies of Healing
I wish to express my gratitude for the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, made manifest during the thirteen and a half years that I have been studying it. My first healing was of ptomaine poisoning; and my second of a severe form of dysentery.
In loving gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine, I wish to give this testimony. It has been my only help for about eight years.
It is eleven years since I took up the study of Christian Science. I was at that time in great need of physical healing.
Nearly fourteen years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a friend who was healed of a severe case of tonsillitis in two treatments. At that time I was a graduate nurse from a medical hospital.
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the blessed truths which Mrs. Eddy has given to the world in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and her other writings.
I had long known of Christian Science before it became of vital importance to me. During school and college years, I frequently attended Christian Science church services and lectures.
The coming of Christian Science was the dawn of a new light to me. My first healing was that of a very tenacious intestinal trouble which caused inactivity.
I have had so much help from the testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel that I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science, hoping I may help some one as I have been helped. Being in the theatrical profession, I have found this Science to be a wonderful help, destroying discords so quickly that I have not had to lose any time from work.
When I first came to Christian Science I was a most miserable woman. I had grown very despondent, and had lost all interest in life.
It was nearly twenty years ago that I became a student of Christian Science. At first I gained a great love for it and faith in it through the healing of my mother of a severe and very painful case of intercostal neuralgia of many years' standing, which had baffled all material means, and also through my own healing.
