Testimonies of Healing
About eleven years ago, I became interested in Christian Science as a religion. I was not satisfied with the church of which I was a member, as it gave me no practical proofs of the Bible promises.

About three years ago I was a semi-invalid with a disease which the doctors were unable to cure. One Wednesday evening at church the thought came to me that I must work out my own salvation.
Filled with deep gratitude, I wish to testify to a healing which came to me through the study and understanding of Christian Science. I had suffered for eight years from a pulmonary disease, which manifested itself during the latter part of this time in the form of tuberculosis.
A Number of years before I knew of Christian Science I was healed, while reading several chapters in John's Gospel, of metatarsal neuralgia, with which I had been troubled at intervals for about ten years. I realized this at the time, but never understood it until I studied Christian Science.
My heart is filled with gratitude as memory recalls experiences through which Christian Science has been my support and protection. After many weary years of seeking for relief, when all material means of regaining health had been exhausted and physicians had said there was no help for me, the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
I am so glad to know that I can rely absolutely on God! We are told that we really know only what we are able to prove; and Christian Science is teaching me that in the degree that I trust God and keep the Commandments, that is, refuse to believe in a power or presence apart from God, good, the proofs will be gained. During the fifteen years since I became interested in Christian Science it has healed all discordant conditions that have arisen, and has been my only physician.
Just two weeks before Christmas, 1918, I was suddenly taken ill with what appeared to be neuralgia; and thinking the trouble was caused by a tooth, I made an appointment with a dentist. That night my eye seemed to be affected, and other erroneous conditions manifested themselves.
Full of gratitude for Christian Science, I should like to give the following testimony. Several years ago I was taken ill with an internal complaint.
It is with deep gratitude to God and to Christian Science that I send this testimony. In October, 1921, Christian Science was a great help to me at the birth of a child.
